Rising U.S.–Iran Tensions

Former President Donald Trump says he will decide within the next 10 days whether the United States will strike Iran. The statement comes as tensions between Washington and Tehran remain high after years of failed diplomacy.

At the center of the dispute is Iran’s nuclear program. U.S. officials believe Iran is getting too close to weapons-grade capability. Iran denies this and says its program is strictly for peaceful energy production.

Trump has warned that Iran must reach a meaningful agreement or face serious consequences. In response to the ongoing standoff, the United States has increased its military presence in the Middle East, deploying multiple warships and dozens of fighter jets.

What Happens Next

If a strike were to occur, the conflict would likely be intense but limited, potentially lasting weeks rather than months or years. Allies such as Israel could also become involved if the situation escalates.

Despite the strong rhetoric and military positioning, diplomacy has not ended. U.S. officials continue to signal that a negotiated outcome remains possible.

For now, no strike has been ordered. However, the next 10 days could be critical in determining whether tensions cool down or move closer to open conflict.
